What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Happiness is making a difference, contributing to something bigger than yourself, continuous learning and being in the driver seat for the direction of your life. It is knowing who you are as an individual and being fulfilled in your occupation, family life and financial situation.
What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear is becoming complacent and settling. I never want to stop growing and challenging myself to become the best person I can possibly be.
What trait do you like least about yourself?
I have very high expectations of myself, and when I don’t meet my expectations, it upsets me. Sometimes my expectations are unrealistic, and I set myself up for failure from the beginning at times.
Who is someone you’ve met at Indiana State you’ll remember the rest of your life?
Ed Pease: He is a man who has changed my life dramatically and has opened many doors/avenues of opportunity to better my future both professionally and personally.
Which talent would you most like to have?
I would like to have the world’s fastest reading speed, so I could expose myself to a broad range of material quickly and spend more time on activities that add value. Warren Buffett reads more than 500 pages a day.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement is overcoming the adversity I faced in my childhood and receiving the Gongaware Scholarship.
If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
I think I would come back as a bald eagle, because I would have the ability to fly anywhere I wanted, be protected from harm and always have a bird’s eye view. How awesome would that be?
What do people notice first about you?
I think people first notice that I am an outgoing person, but also recognize I am a serious person for the most part.
What does BLUE mean to you?
Blue is a place where one can come to get the experience and feel of a larger university, but still obtain personalized attention in the realm of academics. It is the perfect mix. Most of all BLUE is HOME.
