What is your idea of perfect happiness?
My idea of perfect happiness is being surrounded by my outgoing, hilarious, big family. I am the oldest in my family and absolutely love having younger brothers and sisters. When we are all together, there is never a dull moment.
What is your greatest fear?
I don’t know what it is about spiders that scare me so badly. Spiders are at the top of my list of fears. Put something else that others would be scared of — like a snake — in front of me and I’ll be fine, but a tiny spider? That is a whole new story.
What trait do you like least about yourself?
I am a professional procrastinator. I do a lot of different tasks last minute. Most of the time it works in my favor, though, because I work well under pressure.
Which historical figure do you most identify with?
Selena Quintanilla-Perez: She was a Texas-born singer, model, songwriter, actress and fashion designer. I grew up watching her movie, videos and listening and dancing to her music. I’ve always loved her.
Who is someone you’ve met at ISU you’ll remember for the rest of your life?
It’s very hard to just pick one person. I’ve been touched by multiple people at ISU. There is something unique about each and every person I’ve ever crossed paths with but Pamela Gresham, Corey Smith and my admissions family are people I will never forget.
Which talent would you most like to have?
I wish I could do musical impressions of well-known musical artists. People that can do that are so cool. That takes talent!
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Choosing STATE and becoming a Sycamore is definitely my greatest achievement in life. I was the first in my family to graduate high school and go right to college. Indiana State has always felt like home since the first time I stepped foot on this campus. I grow each and every day, and the opportunities are endless.
If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
Jimmy Fallon. That man is hilarious! Have you ever seen him try to do musical impressions? LOL
What do people notice first about you?
People first notice my upbeat energy, big brown eyes or smile.
What does BLUE mean to you?
BLUE means striving for progress and not for perfection. No one is perfect, and life will always throw unexpected challenges and hardships at you. Despite anything that I’ve ever been through, being a Sycamore has taught me to get back up and keep striving. Throughout my time at STATE, I’ve been surrounded by nothing but support, love and great friendships.
