What is your idea of perfect happiness?
My idea of perfect happiness is lying in a hammock on a cool summer night by a lake. I would have my best friends around me and the smell of s’mores in the air. Oh, and my dog would be lying in the hammock with me.
What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear right now would have to be getting lost in a foreign country. I am currently in Thessaloniki, Greece, and all of the signs are in Greek. I’m very bad with directions in the first place, so I think if I was ever lost by myself somewhere I would never find my way home. My greatest fear when I’m home is definitely any type of bug.
What trait do you like least about yourself?
My least favorite trait about myself is that I sometimes try to take too much control of every situation. I’ve always had the mindset of doing everything I can the way I want it, but it would be nice to be a little more dependent on others in certain situations.
Which historical figure do you most identify with?
I wouldn’t say I really relate to anyone that well as historical figures go, but someone that I think would be cool to remembered like is Alexander the Great. Jacob the Great kind of has a nice ring to it, right?
Who is someone you’ve met at Indiana State you’ll remember the rest of your life?
I have been blessed to have met so many great people so far at Indiana State. One person who stands out to me is Brooke Hendricks. She is the most genuine person I have ever met. Brooke is always there for me, and anyone else that knows her. She is definitely one of a kind.
Which talent would you most like to have?
A talent I would love to have is a great singing voice. Don’t get me wrong, I still sing ALL the time (I apologize to my friends) with the voice I have, but I think everyone would enjoy me a lot more if my singing were a little better. I could also become famous if I could sing, which would be cool.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I have been blessed with some great achievements throughout my life, especially at State, but the time I felt like I achieved greatness was in fifth grade when I won the Wayne County Sport Stacking Tournament. Now I know this seems irrelevant today, but fifth-grade me felt so accomplished and excited about what I had just done.
If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
I would definitely come back as a shark if I could. I feel like I can explore the land in this life and see what it has to offer. It would be awesome to be able to explore the sea and maybe try to find Atlantis. Or maybe I can come back as a mermaid … or I guess a merman? That would be cool.
What do people notice first about you?
I hope people notice my smile first when they see me. I had to spend all of freshman year with braces, so I hope they paid off enough for people to notice my teeth.
What does BLUE mean to you?
Blue to me means endless opportunities and possibilities. Indiana State has given me two years of networking, traveling, hands-on learning and leadership opportunities that I would never have been able to get going somewhere else. With Blue, the possibilities are endless. With Blue, I know I will succeed.
