
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
My idea of perfect happiness is traveling, exploring, getting to know new people and their respective cultures. I love being able to understand different perspectives and learning how to do stuff like make pot stickers or eating with chopsticks.
What is your greatest fear?
My biggest fear is not completing all that I set out to accomplish and not leaving my mark on this world.
What trait do you like least about yourself?
Hmmm … I never really thought about this. I love everything about me <3
Which historical figure do you most identify with?
I identify with Mary McLeod Bethune. She was an educator, advocate for African-American women and broke societal barriers. She lived her life without limits.
Who is someone you’ve met at Indiana State you’ll remember the rest of your life?
I have so many that it would be unfair to just list one. Each of my friends have made an impact on my life that I’ll never forget. There are remarkable faculty and staff members that have guided me and I appreciate them. These amazing women are Ms. Julia Bruce, Dr. Darleesa Doss, and Ms. Valerie Hart-Craig.
Which talent would you most like to have?
OMG, I wish that I was a talented singer. Sadly I am not but I still sing my heart out anyway.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement was coming back to State my sophomore year and being on the dean’s list for both semesters. My freshman year, I was told that college is not for everyone and that I might have better luck going back home. I came back and proved to myself that anything is possible if I put my mind to it.
If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
I would be an eagle, soaring with beauty and grace. The eagle represents strength, leadership and insight. These are qualities I see in myself.
What do people notice first about you?
People always notice my hair whether it’s short, long or big lol. I recently cut a lot of my hair off so I get confused looks and people wonder why I did it. I just wanted something different.
What does BLUE mean to you?
To me, BLUE means being supportive to my fellow Sycamore and giving back to the Sycamore community. BLUE is helping others have the greatest college experience and preparing students for the future.
