What is your idea of perfect happiness?
My idea of perfect happiness is being in a career that allows me to have a great influence in others lives and being surrounded by the people I love the most. Also, being on a beach somewhere would definitely contribute to that perfect happiness!
What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear is without a doubt heights. I could never do any of the high ropes events when I went to camp. The one time I attempted to do it I froze and wrapped my arms and legs around the telephone pole..
What trait do you like least about yourself?
Something I used to struggle with was saying no to people. I love to be social so I find that my daily schedule starts around 9 a.m. and then ends around 6 or 7 p.m. I usually have to make a few pit stops at my friends and then make my way home to work on school work so I am constantly on the go!
Which historical figure do you most identify with?
The historical figure that I most identify with would be Jane Addams because she was so devoted to helping women with finding women homes for their children and themselves. My goal with the field I plan to go into is to help students find their home at a university.
Who is someone you’ve met at Indiana State you’ll remember the rest of your life?
I really do not think I could just name one person because there have been multiple people throughout my time here at Indiana State who have had an impact on my life. The New Student Transition Program has been my home from the day I was hired as a Welcome Team Leader. I am beyond thankful for all of the people I have worked with through this office!
Which talent would you most like to have?
If I could have any talent, I would love to be musically inclined. I don’t have a bad voice but I could use some singing lessons. I also used to play the piano when I was younger but my teacher quit on me … haha! I lost some momentum to continue with that!
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement would be my involvement with Indiana State’s Welcome Team. I have grown as an individual and as a leader because of my involvement with the NSTP office. I am going into my fourth year of working with the Welcome Team and I am so excited to
If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
I would love to come back as Ellen Degeneres! She is goofy, influential and she loves to dance. I always scroll through Facebook to watch small snip-its from her show. She is just awesome!
What do people notice first about you?
I would say that the first thing people would notice about me is my outgoing personality and that I’m usually always smiling. I can make conversation with anyone and my friends always make fun of me because I usually make a few new friends wherever we go.
What does BLUE mean to you?
To me Blue means leadership. I have strived to be a strong leader on campus and to make an impact in our community. I have had so many opportunities for leadership on campus that I am so grateful for!
