What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Perfect happiness to me is spending as much time with my family and friends as possible, having more time to volunteer for all of the organizations I enjoy working with, and having a lifetime supply of chocolate.
What is your greatest fear?
No laughing, but my greatest fear is of dogs! I am fearful of any dog of any size until I get comfortable around them.
What trait do you like least about yourself?
I hate that I am so much of a perfectionist. Whatever I am doing, I am never satisfied until I think it is as perfect as possible and that sometimes prevents me from making progress as quickly as I otherwise could.
Which historical figure do you most identify with?
I have a lot of respect and appreciation for Eunice Kennedy Shriver. For those who do not know, she helped start the Special Olympics. I have volunteered for Special Olympics here at Indiana State for many years and the experience is always so rewarding. I have a strong passion for individuals with special needs, so I believe I have a strong connection to Ms. Shriver.
Who is someone you’ve met at Indiana State you’ll remember the rest of your life?
Dr. (Greg) Bierly is someone I met at Indiana State who I will never forget. He forms personal connections with all of the honors students and is extremely approachable. He also gave me the most useful advice about college before I ever started classes. He said to work really hard at the beginning of the semester, get ahead, and then adjust as you see how much you need to put into each class. I still take his advice now, so thanks Dr. Bierly!
Which talent would you most like to have?
I would love to have the ability to easily learn other languages. Language is fascinating to me, but foreign languages are hard for me to pick up. Plus, this ability would most likely be beneficial in my future career.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I take a lot of pride in my academic success. Currently, I have a cumulative 4.0 GPA and although I know that may end at any time, it is something I work extremely hard to maintain and is one of my greatest achievements.
If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
I think I would come back as a cat. They are smart, get to spend a lot of time with people, and always seem to do as they please. Also, if the whole “cats have nine lives” thing is true, that would be another benefit!
What do people notice first about you?
I am told that most people notice my eyes first. However, I also think that my outgoing and positive personality is something that people notice about me.
What does BLUE mean to you?
To me, BLUE means participating in as many campus activities as possible, supporting the school, and representing Indiana State in a positive manner. It means supporting the community surrounding the campus and being proud to be a Tree.
