What is your idea of perfect happiness?
My idea of perfect happiness would be spending time with friends and family. Just being surrounded by people I care about and have fun with is perfect no matter where we are.
What is your greatest fear?
Honestly, my greatest fear is driving across bridges over bodies of water. You never know if something could go wrong and you end up in the water! Of course I have a fear of the future and failure, but bridges above water tops both of them for me.
What trait do you like least about yourself?
My least favorite trait about myself is how awkward I am when meeting new people. I tend to stumble on my words and not know what to ask someone to get to know them better. I’m slowly overcoming that trait, but I don’t think I’ll ever stop being awkward.
Which historical figure do you most identify with?
I try to identify with Audrey Hepburn, but I’m definitely not as graceful as she was.
Who is someone you’ve met at Indiana State you’ll remember the rest of your life?
Shelby Small is someone I will hopefully never forget in my entire life. She is the sweetest soul, and I was lucky enough to get her as my mentee in the Bayh College Scholars to Teachers Program (BEST Program). I didn’t think that I’d meet someone who is so much like me when I came to State!
Which talent would you most like to have?
I really wish I could juggle. I’ve tried to learn several times and I never get it right.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement has to be earning the Sycamore Teacher Leader scholarship and getting into the BEST Program. It has brought me so many opportunities to become the best teacher I can be! (See what I did back there?)
If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
I would probably come back as a cat. We’re both lazy, take a lot of naps, and just need food set out to survive.
What do people notice first about you?
I’ve been told that I smile a lot, so people notice my smile first. I try not to smile too much, because I personally hate my smile but it just feels natural to do it when I’m around people!
What does BLUE mean to you?
To me BLUE means making genuine, life-long connections with people. I’ve made so many friends here at State I hope I never lose touch with and networked with professionals who can help me in my future career.
